Chairman’s Report for October
We are in the final stretch and we are in the lead. What we
do between now and Nov. 7 will determine who prevails.
October will be a big
month for local Democrats. Your Party and the candidates of your Party need
every dime you can afford to contribute and all of the time and energy you
can muster in this final push towards victory. Make every effort to attend
and support the following events:
October 19 – Party fundraiser
honoring Nick Lampson and Bryan Lamb. 6:30 p.m. Haak Winery, Ave. T, Santa
Fe. Bar.B.Q dinner $10 per plate plus silent auction.
October 22 - Party GET OUT THE EARLY VOTE RALLY. Honored guests Nick
Lampson and Shane Sklar, 6:30 PM Sunday, Pepper’s 220 Gulf Freeway South,
League City. U. S. Congressman Mike Honda, who is also Vice Chairman of the
Democratic National Committee will be guest speaker. Good food, no cost, but
donations are welcome.
October 29 – Two simultaneous pews to the Poll Rallies are planned on
this afternoon: One at Carver Park in Texas City and one near the Community
Center on Broadway in Galveston. The Mainland ministers and Galveston Island
ministers are working with the Party to make this a big success. Both rallies
will be 3:00 –7:00 PM.
There will be telephone banks, organized door-to-door walks, mailings, etc.
